Signposting assessments are undertaken to provide a professional measure of the most appropriate service (or services) that are appropriate to meet short to medium-term needs.

This is a bespoke service that sits under the level of an initial needs assessment. It is a more succinct assessment, with the aim to providing an overview of the individual’s current need and difficulties, with the aim of signposting them towards the relevant professional disciplines or agencies.

This is an ideal assessment for an individual or agency that requires a brief report detailing a clinical pathway, that the individual/agency can organise and manage. This is particularly pertinent in cases where liability may be contested or where little or no interim payments have been made. This assessment will empower the client to be able to approach the relevant agencies for support and input.

In more complex cases, then it is likely that a full immediate needs assessment will be recommended.
